What you’ll need
- Natural art materials (leaves, twigs, seeds etc…)
- PVA glue
- Paper
Step 1: Collect the materials
The first thing you’ll need to do is to get out and about in your back garden, local park or woodland and see what you can find to make your picture. Leaves, twigs and seeds are all great for making pictures with. Maybe you’ll be able to find other things.!*
* Make sure you know what you are picking up – remember some berries can be poisonous. Don’t pick anything that’s still growing.

Step 2: Making your picture
The pictures are simple to create. Decide on what you want to make and then stick down your leaves, twigs and seeds etc… with a dab of glue to make your picture.
You could make a collage animal by drawing an outline on your paper and then using the natural art materials to make your animal. Or maybe you’d prefer to create a pretty pattern or woodland scene. If you’ve got a group of children you could all work together to create a big picture. Using a large sheet of paper draw out a basic scene and get each child to work on one area of the picture.
